High Fidelity is a dynamic, vertically integrated cannabis company deeply rooted in Missouri. We are passionate about producing premium cannabis products while prioritizing equity, innovation, and positive community impact at every level of our operation. Our mission is to inspire trust and well-being in our customers and communities, and we recognize that our ongoing success is powered by the talented people who make up our team. As we continue to grow, we seek a visionary and strategic Director of Human Resources to help shape our future with integrity, purpose, and heart.

Role Overview

As the Director of Human Resources, you will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for architecting a people-first HR function that supports High Fidelity’s rapid growth and evolving business needs. This is a highly visible role, entrusted with developing and executing comprehensive HR strategies across the entire employee life cycle, from attracting and nurturing top talent to fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and high performance. You will champion our values while navigating the unique challenges of a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Design, implement, and continuously refine HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with business objectives and reinforce our company values of integrity, inclusivity, and innovation.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, partnering with hiring managers to identify current and future staffing needs, develop compelling employer branding initiatives, and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Build and sustain high employee morale by developing programs that support recognition, well-being, professional growth, and strong internal communication. Analyze engagement data to drive improvements and enhance retention.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the design and execution of performance review processes, goal setting, and feedback systems to cultivate a high-performing, accountable workforce. Coach managers in talent development and succession planning.
  • Organizational Development: Identify skill gaps and lead initiatives around learning and development, leadership training, and organizational design to support current and future business needs.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure company-wide compliance with all Missouri state cannabis regulations, labor and employment laws, and workplace safety standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and proactively address any compliance risks.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, addressing workplace concerns with empathy, fairness, and a solutions-oriented approach. Manage investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes as necessary.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Champion DEI initiatives, fostering an environment where every team member can thrive. Develop strategies to attract, retain, and advance a diverse workforce.
  • HR Operations & Analytics: Oversee HR systems, reporting, and analytics to inform data-driven decision-making. Ensure accurate record-keeping and optimize HR workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic HR management role, ideally within a regulated industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, current employment laws, and regulatory compliance requirements- Missouri state experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to continuous improvement.
  • Passion for fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry or other highly regulated sectors is an asset but not required.

Why Join High Fidelity?

  • Be part of an innovative company at the forefront of the Missouri cannabis industry.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a high-impact HR function in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Work with a passionate team dedicated to making a positive difference in our communities.

We invite experienced, purpose-driven HR leaders to apply and join us in shaping the future of cannabis in Missouri!
