Description A well-regarded San Francisco civil litigation law firm is seeking a Jr. Paralegal to join their team for an initial 3-month engagement, with potential for ongoing extension. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career paralegal to gain hands-on litigation experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain and manage litigation calendars for multiple attorneys, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and client meetings. + Assist with discovery processes, including organizing, reviewing, and summarizing discovery responses and document productions. + Format, cite-check, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence for filing with state and federal courts. + Perform basic e-filing of pleadings and documents through court portals. + Assist with client communication regarding document needs, scheduling, and case updates under attorney supervision. + Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring all case materials are complete and up-to-date. + Provide general litigation support to attorneys and senior paralegals as needed. Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum of 1 year of law firm experience, preferably supporting civil litigation matters. + Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program required. + Familiarity with legal terminology, court filing procedures, and general litigation processes. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); familiarity with legal calendaring and document management systems a plus. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Positive, proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and take direction. + Comfortable working fully onsite in San Francisco's Cow Hollow District.
