Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our Environmental & Land Use practice group on a temp-to-perm basis. This role supports attorneys handling complex environmental litigation, regulatory matters, and land-use cases. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with a high-performing attorney with a significant caseload and to contribute meaningfully to high-stakes matters across the state of Florida.
Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys.
Draft, proofread, and format lengthy legal documents (45–60 pages) to ensure compliance with court and judge-specific formatting requirements.
Maintain and organize case files, including e-filing in Florida state and local courts in accordance with all procedural requirements.
Conduct legal research and prepare supporting materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
Assist with discovery, including document organization, preparation of exhibits, and management of document productions.
Prepare trial and deposition binders, create PowerPoint presentations, and provide on-site support during court proceedings throughout Florida.
Manage calendars, track critical deadlines, and coordinate schedules for attorneys and case teams.
Communicate professionally with attorneys, government agencies, and private organizations regarding environmental and land-use matters.
Record billable time accurately using iTimekeep.
Manage documents using NetDocuments document management system.
Minimum 5 years of experience providing litigation support in commercial litigation environments.
Strong working knowledge of Florida local and state court e-filing procedures and document formatting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including use of reveal codes and formatting marks.
Excellent grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
Experience preparing trial materials, exhibits, and presentations.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout Florida for depositions and trials.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Prior work supporting attorneys in environmental, regulatory, or land-use litigation.
Familiarity with NetDocuments and iTimekeep systems.
