POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Production Scheduler . Our Schedulers are responsible for development, release and maintenance of program schedules, subsequent functional operating schedules and order release schedules. This position supports master scheduling which includes incorporating material and plant fabrication lead time setbacks, historical data and capacity inputs. The Production Scheduler is also responsible for the capacity review cycle (machine and manpower). This entails the critical evaluation of used efficiency and utilization factors. The position requires significant interaction with other plant personnel to ensure the schedule status is accurate and feasible and to provide necessary feedback to assure manufacturing throughput and support of customer requirements and sales commitments.

Pay Range $70k - 90k Annually

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with superior proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Expert experience with an ERP system is required. Employee must have the ability to understand manufacturing processes and associated workflows. Should demonstrate high level of ethics with strong integrity.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements. Must be able to promote a participative, team-oriented environment, working with customers (both internal and external), subordinates, other employees, vendors and all others in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Follow up on work order status.
  • Ensure adherence to master production plan.
  • Communicate priority of work orders to production.
  • Predict sales and backorders. Establish backorder recovery plans when needed.
  • Maintain customer impact logs and high driver sales file.
  • Must model desired employee and leadership behaviors. Adept to managing change. Ability to set and meet goals. Effectively delegate to meet departmental and company objectives. Ability to identify and develop talent. Ability to give and receive feedback well. Must possess proven ability to successfully facilitate change.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to compile and present data in a format that facilitates information sharing and decision making.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years production scheduling experience required.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience and APICS Certification are both preferred.
  • Knowledge of Production Operations, Production Control, Scheduling, Distribution, Inventory Management, Re-Order Points (ROP) and MRP is helpful.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
