JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician – Radiology (Tele‑Radiology)

• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Location: Remote tele‑rad 

• Service Setting: Hospital‑based teleradiology (ER, Inpatient, Outpatient reads)

• Coverage Type: Daytime reads (no call)

• Coverage Period: 11/03/2025 – Ongoing (dates listed below; 2026 dates forthcoming)

• On‑Call: No

• Will Work Solo: Yes

• Travel: None (provided home workstation)

FACILITY INFORMATION

• Trauma Level: Community hospital; low‑level trauma (level 3; not level 1 or 2)

• PACS / IT: Philips Enterprise 4.7 PACS; Workflow Orchestrator (worklist); Fluency (dictation)

• EMR / Charting: Philips (per submission); Radiology Informatics provides PACS & reporting training

• Support Staff: Clerical, Technologist, Administrative; Radiology Informatics and IT on‑call support

• Reason for Coverage: Vacation/holiday coverage; ongoing 1–2+ years expected

COVERAGE DATES

•   November: 3, 6–7, 10, 14, 24, 26, 28 • 11/24/2025

•  December: 15, 29–31

•  Additional 2026 dates TBD

COVERAGE & SHIFT SCHEDULE

• Rotation A (General Mix): 8a–4p (Mon–Fri)

– Expected daily volume: ~50–70 total exams across ER, IP, OP

– Typical per‑modality volumes: 30–35 CT; 15 MRI (OP); 30–35 X‑ray

– ~5 oncology studies/day included within totals

• Rotation B (CT‑Focused): 7a–4p (Mon–Fri)

– CT only; ~50–55 CT exams/day (OP/IP/ED mix)

– 8a–1p: ED, IP, OP reads; 1p–4p: ED & IP only (no OP after 1p)

• Estimated Shifts/Month: ~8 (seeking 1–2 providers who can cover up to ~14 weeks/year)

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Adult/Peds Mix: ~95% Adult / 5% Pediatric

• Typical Cases: ER, Inpatient, Outpatient; community hospital acuity; STAT ED cases included

• Procedures: None (remote diagnostic reads only)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Privileges: Full Privileges; Emergency Privileges available

• Days to Credential: ~30

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board Status: Board Certified 

• Licensure: Pennsylvania license required to apply; IMLC candidates considered

• DEA: Required

• Minimum Experience: 5 years

• Certifications: None specified

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Workstation: Facility will ship a home workstation to the provider

TECHNOLOGY & WORKFLOW

• PACS: Philips Enterprise 4.7; worklist via Workflow Orchestrator

• Dictation/Reporting: Fluency

• Critical Results: Radiology clerical staff assist and monitor critical alerts; clinician call‑outs required (support available)

• Collaboration: ~3 radiologists available during requested hours for consults as needed

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide timely, accurate diagnostic interpretations across CT, X‑ray/plain films, MRI, and US per privileging.

• Prioritize STAT ED reads while maintaining throughput for IP/OP studies.

• Communicate critical results per policy; coordinate with clerical staff for notifications as needed.

• Utilize Philips Enterprise PACS, Workflow Orchestrator, and Fluency efficiently; follow UPMC documentation standards.

• Collaborate with onsite and remote radiologists and support teams to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
