ABOUT THE ROLE

ExoAnalytic Solutions is seeking Software Engineers with experience developing embedded real-time software for defense and aerospace systems. In this role, you’ll work with RTOS environments (such as VxWorks or RTEMS) to implement time-critical, deterministic applications used in space and missile defense systems.

This position is ideal for engineers passionate about developing low-level, performance-sensitive software that drives mission execution and flight safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and test real-time embedded software for defense systems
• Implement and optimize algorithms within RTOS-based environments
• Integrate software with hardware systems, sensors, and communication interfaces
• Debug and analyze system-level performance in simulation and HWIL environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on architecture and integration

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience developing embedded or real-time software
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and familiarity with RTOS environments
• Experience integrating software with hardware or sensor systems
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance
• Experience with RTOS platforms (VxWorks, RTEMS, QNX, or Integrity)
• Experience with C/C++ development for embedded or flight-critical systems
• Familiarity with missile defense, aerospace, or space systems software
• Knowledge of guidance and control systems or sensor processing

SALARY RANGE

$85,000 - $165,000+ annually.

Actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and years of experience.
