TITLE: Special Education 1:1 Paraeducator Bus Duty

.25 Hours Per Day (7:25 a.m. - 7:40 a.m.)
190 Days Per Year (180 student days / 10 holidays)
This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 11/26/25.

Salary Placement : New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor the bus assistant for the Special Education students is responsible for riding on the bus and assisting the bus driver whenever necessary on the regular home-to-school run and during emergencies and/or evacuations. The bus assistant is also responsible for completing necessary paperwork.
