Job Description

Technical Writer

Location: Remote or On-Site (based on client needs)

Type: Temporary

Pay: $40 – $50 per hour

About the Role

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer for one of our top partners in the medical device manufacturing industry . In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the migration to and implementation of a structured DITA-based content management system using Madcap IXIA .

This position requires a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities . The ideal candidate has experience developing user-facing instructional manuals and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud . Familiarity with DITA-based structured component content management systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and migration into a component content management system (CCMS) .
  • Document processes and workflows during the transition from unstructured to structured content systems .
  • Collaborate with content strategists, labeling designers , and external consulting teams to ensure a seamless CCMS implementation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to maintain alignment and ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technical Communication, Library Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, content administration, technical documentation , or CMS management .
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office Suite .
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Miro, Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet .
  • Familiarity with DITA and structured content management systems is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, life sciences, or diabetes-related products is a plus.
  • Ability to comprehend medical, clinical, and technical aspects of complex devices and processes.
