Job Description

Tree Service Skid Steer Operator

Location: Chattanooga TN
Salary: Varies with Experience

As a skid steer operator at our leading tree service company, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with a variety of tree service projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating skid steers in tree removal, pruning, and land clearing projects. You will be an integral part of our team, and your role will be critical to the success of our projects.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

As a skid steer operator in this position, your main responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate skid steers during tree removal, pruning, and land clearing projects. You will be tasked with moving trees, stumps, and other materials in a manner that minimizes damage to clients' yards and property.

Safely and efficiently operating skid steers to ensure the safety of yourself and your team members

Conducting routine maintenance on skid steers and other equipment to ensure their optimal performance

Following project plans and specifications to ensure work is completed to client satisfaction

Working collaboratively with other team members to complete projects within tight deadlines

Communicating effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients to ensure that project goals are met

Ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating skid steers in tree service projects

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Strong mechanical skills with the ability to conduct routine maintenance on skid steers and other equipment

The job requires physical stamina and agility, including the ability to lift and transport heavy objects and to stand and move for extended periods of time while performing tasks.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
