Warehouse Manager

Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned functional areas within the warehouse. This role provides strategic leadership in goal setting, training, and directing warehouse associates to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations. The Warehouse Manager ensures adherence to company procedures, including accurate product identification, safe handling and storage practices, and timely, policy-compliant shipping. A strong advocate for continuous improvement, the manager enforces a 5S environment and leads housekeeping initiatives to maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include verifying inbound product identification, enforcing safe storage and handling practices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring outbound shipments align with NDS policies. 
  • Lead and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, root cause analysis of variances, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Oversee transactional integrity in the ERP/WMS system, ensuring timely and accurate recording of inventory movements.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments , including carrier coordination, documentation, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with production, planning, procurement, and customer service to ensure inventory availability and order accuracy.
  • Monitor and optimize warehouse layout, storage methods, and material flow to improve efficiency and reduce handling time.
  • Maintain and enforce safety, housekeeping, and quality standards throughout the warehouse.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse associates; manage scheduling, workload, and performance expectations.
  • Generate and analyze KPIs related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping performance, and productivity.
  • Support annual physical inventory and external audits.
  • Must have the ability to take ownership and be accountable for the department
  • Oversee all planning for bought out products and production planning

GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems , ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and shipping/logistics processes.
  • Proven track record in improving inventory accuracy and driving operational improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize
  • Must have excellent people skills, ability to interact with employees, and all levels of management.
  • Computer literacy
